      Hi Fin,

At the moment there are two main things I am researching: ways to get respiratory rate from a smartphone, and how heart rate and blood pressure change during pregnancy. The respiratory rate research is similar to dealing with electrical signals – I see the signal from an accelerometer and I need to filter it and then count the breaths within 60 seconds. Changes during pregnancy requires a bit of maths!

In the past I have researched how to create a 3D map of the back of the eye, and created a mathematical model of the cartilage in the knee for when it is compressed.

I hope that gives you an idea of what sort of things I do 🙂

      Rebecca
