None work related.. I completed the National 3 Peaks challenge 5 years ago… climbing Ben Nevis (Scotland) , Scarfel (England) and Snowdon (Wales) within 24 hours….

Work related I’d say achieving my MBA (Masters of Business Administration) – it took me 3 1/2 years on continuously part time study…

      Hi Robot Girl!

Along the same lines as Simon, the toughest challenge I’ve done was to run a marathon! I did this two months ago (one and only), and it was pretty tough, required all the mental energy I had.

Work wise, I’ve had a challenging time collaborating with medical statisticians. We sometimes have very different ideas about how to approach a problem so having to reconcile your differences and reach a compromise can sometimes be a challenge. Particularly when it involves writing a paper. I’ve now been working on the same paper for 2 years with them!

The toughest challenge I’ve done personally, is to run a half marathon (I very much dislike running).
In terms of work — I think my current research project is the toughest challenge I’m facing. As it is a multidisciplinary project, working with surgeons and physicists as well as engineers, I feel like I often have to speak 3 different languages!
