      Hi Emoji…

there are hazards (danger) in all Engineering activities, a critical part of an Engineers role is to identify and assess the hazards, eliminate (remove) them or mitigate (reduce the risk) to an acceptable level. We do this by performing Risk Assessments… so reducing the danger from the job…

      Hope that helps !

      Hi Emoji,

My field is not dangerous. The most you could get is a little electric shock from a power source! Most of what I do is on the computer which isn’t dangerous. Although may be affecting my eyes…

      Hey Emoji,
The current research position I have involves me using lots of liquid nitrogen to freeze things, which can be a little dangerous if I am not careful.
I used to work for a nuclear engineering company as a process engineer on site (this means I was where the nuclear power is generated) and that had some significant risks involved (and so it was a little dangerous). However, there are a lot of mitigating factors (risk reducing strategies) put in place to ensure that any danger is minimised. This is part of being an engineer — we design plants and processes that may require some dangerous equipment or chemicals to be as safe as possible.
Hope this explains what you’re asking for.
