Hi Jessica… Great question… when I was 21 I made a career ambition to be “Head of Engineering” for a future employer…. I became Head of Engineering in 2007 – as a Senior Manager and continued to develop my management skills and experience and continued to study (MBA with the Open University.. another 3.5years of part time study !)) and was promoted to in 2011 to Associate Director, then Director in 2015.
I feel that my hard work both in work and studying has paid off… I feel very proud to lead a team of 29, setting future plans to support the business and yearly objectives for the team and helping to ensure all the team members continue to develop their own knowledge and experience….
When I was 21 the thought was very daunting, now I really enjoy it .. In 2015 we employed our first Engineering Apprentices…which was a really proud moment… as it was the role which I started work at 16…!

      Hope that helps… Enjoy !!!
