      Hi Hardie,

I travel to London and Newcastle for the clinical trial that I am working on at the moment. We have sites in these places so I get to visit the staff and make sure all their equipment is up to date. More excitingly, last year I got to go to Montreal in Canada for a conference!

@ Hardie: Only last week I was in Madrid the whole week to attend a course. And I usually get to go to conferences somewhere abroad. I went to Rome and once I went to Durham and stayed in a fancy Castle!!! 🙂

Hey Hardie — when I first started the project I was working with a group of surgeons up in Edinburgh, so I spent a bit of time going back and forth up there. And then, my team was asked to teach our techniques and findings to a research group in Saudi Arabia that was starting up. I would travel back and forth to Riyadh to train their researchers there while doing my own resaerch in the background.
I’ve been able to present my findings at conferences both relatively local (Birmingham, Malvern, Glasgow) as well as overseas (Italy, France and next month, Canada!)
