Hi Jeff (since you’ve so confidently said that is your name!)

For me, confidence is something I struggle with. Sometimes I can be confident about my work, but other times I struggle to back myself and don’t like people asking me tricky questions! But it’s all character building.

I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of the “impostor syndrome”? That is where a person feels like they’re not good enough at their work and feel like a fraud, even when their work suggests otherwise. Funnily enough, this is quite common for researchers to feel. But it’s a sad cycle.

      Hi Jeff….

I think so… I was less confidence earlier in my career…confidence comes with experience….. but you must also acknowledge that you never stop learning, you can do this by attending courses, studying or learning from others….

Only this morning I spent time with Manufacturing Operators to gain knowledge from them on how to improve the equipment – as they work with the equipment everyday… Its good to work in Teams..

Top tip…. with help and guidance from others – step out of your comfort zone ( where you are most confident) occasionally and challenge yourself – its a good way to build your confidence.

      Thanks

      Si
