• Question: Was it tough to become an engineer? How long did it take?

      The studies were hard sometimes. Lots of exams and essays, but also a lot of practical work, which was a bit easier. My studies were all in all 5 years long and then I started working for a company. Now I am back to studying and I am still learning more about engineering every day.

      Hi Ben and Nixy,
      I studied for 5 years as well, but that included a year where I went and did placements with companies to gain experience. To get experience while you’re studying can be really helpful for getting a job afterwards so I’d definitely recommend it! Like Julia said, the work can be challenging but I think it’s worth it in the end 🙂
