      Hi Freya,

      It depends what sort of project. At the moment I’m working on a clinical trial which has funding for 5 years. Then for post-processing and getting papers ready to publish, could take another 2 years… That is probably moderate length for clinical trials, some are a matter of months, others take many years – one of my colleagues helped with a trial that recruited 10,000 patients! In industry (ie. not research/academia), projects are often shorter.
